Below you will find answers to all your questions about our beautiful venue. From capacity and pricing to decor and catering options, we’ve got everything you need to plan the perfect wedding. Let us help you make your dream wedding a reality.
Are you licensed for Wedding Ceremonies & Civil Partnership?
Yes – both indoors and out! Indoors in a rustic red bricked barn and outdoors on Grandma’s Island!
Do I need to contact the Registrars?
Yes – you will need speak to them directly. The Staffordshire Registrars can be contacted by clicking here
How many guests can you accommodate?
Up to 120 seated guests. Then 150 standing guests once the dance barn is open in the evening.
What time can we party until?
Our licence runs until 12am.
Do you supply the caterers for my wedding?
No – you have the freedom to use a professional catering firm of your choice.
Do you supply the bar for my wedding?
No but we are fully licenced – you have the freedom to stock your own bar but we very much encourage you use a professional mobile bar company.
Can we have a live band?
Yes – a live band or a DJ – the choice is yours!
What are the dimensions of the gazebo on Grandma’s Island?
3.5m wide x 3m deep x 2m high
What are the dimensions of the oak trestle tables?
249cm long x 76cm wide x 74cm high
Each table sits eight guests – four each side.
Do we have to pay a deposit?
Yes – a £500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date.
Is there Wi-Fi at The Cowshed?
Sorry no – a good excuse to keep your guests off their phones and on the dance floor!
Is there parking at The Cowshed?
Yes – there is ample parking for your guests and suppliers. Cars may be left at the barn overnight at the owners’ risk.
How do we tidy up?
We have bins available for your rubbish – we ask landfill rubbish to be placed in sealed bin bags in the wooden ton bin and recyclable rubbish to be placed in the recycling bins.
Can we use hay bales?
Only outside.
Can we have Chinese lanterns?
No – these pose too much of a risk to farm animals.
Do you allow confetti?
Only natural petal confetti please.
